About Hero Bot Con

Hero Bot Con was created in 2011 by Jared Aiosa, the owner of Heroes Your Mom Threw Out Comic Shop, located in Elmira Heights, NY. The convention was envisioned as an annual gathering of art, comic, and pop culture afficionados from all across Elmira and the surrounding New York areas.

The 2011 convention was hosted by the Elks Lodge in downtown Elmira, and featured mainstream comic artist, Khoi Pham, as Guest of Honor. Other special guests included Aaron Kuder, Ken Wheaton, and Tedd Arnold. Many talented local artists and passionate fans packed the Lodge that day, filling it up with over 600 attendees during the day's events.

Building off the smash success of the 2011 convention, Jared has teamed with Page One Entertainment in creating an even bigger and better convention in 2012!

That summer, it was announced that legendary comic artist, creator, and entrepreneur, Marc Silvestri, would be Guest of Honor at the 2012 show. Arriving with Marc will be Matt Hawkins, comic writer, and President and COO of Top Cow Productions. Marc and Matt are planning to use the event to continue the kick off of their anniversary relaunch of Cyber Force!

More guests were soon announced, including Jamal Igle, Ethan Young, and returning guests, Aaron Kuder and Ken Wheaton.

The 2012 Hero Bot Con will take place on October 27, 2012 at the Chemung County FFC.
